Java Distortion TM
The Java Distortion with it's true by-pass switching is a three channel distortion pedal that offers clean (true by-pass), Rhythm (with adjustable Gain control), and Lead (with 10 db boost and full distortion) channels. It was HipKitty's first official effect pedal and still remains a popular tool for many guitarists. Bobby Watkins, Billy G., Pete Loefler and Chris Schiltz are a few name players that include the Java Distortion as a secret weapon (to some, it's not so secret, others a well kept secret).
The Rhythm channel can dial in a light overdrive/boost that is very tube-like and can range up through distortion right to the edge of fuzz without becoming a fuzz effect.
The Lead channel sums up all of the distortion from the Rhythm channel and is boosted 10db's. Watch out! This channel even stunned the Premier Guitar (magazine) reviewer some years back during a thorough review.
